"She wants to feel feelings"

I AM NOT A CUTTER! However a not so fun work incident would imply otherwise. Box cutter cut up my left arm causing people to believe my personal problems are being handled inappropriately... Seriously, I had to explain it to my mechanic because people feel the needs to express their concern. Anyways, my arm hurts like hell and I tried to cover it with my watch and it just draws more attention. I just felt the need to quote my friend in the title who was mocking me when she saw it :(

I REALLY miss my sis

And I need new work clothes. Any suggestions? Can't really afford my Nordy's these days, so maybe Express or The Limited. Going into winter is always rough on my wardrobe, especially when "winter" is between 60 and 72 degrees... weird. OHHH, and soon to come, Cee n Elle's Fall favs :) Please stay tuned:)

Yay for good news, boo for sinus infections!

So as Elle stated earlier....I passed a test that was a "must do" for my job and Elle has moved to a better territory! woo woo
bad news is working with kids day in and day out...I'm sick!!! initially I was on a 24 hour dry heaving binge but it has settled into a nasty sinus headache/scratcy throat combo.
Not cute!
So i am taking tons of sudafed and tylenol and laying around all day.
oh well, its raining anyway

All Good News

Cee passed her teacher test and I got a new selling territory... a better one (it would've been tough to do worse, though). Yay for making money so my family can get Christmas presents from me this year! Oh, and it's finally cooling off in AZ. Here's to hoping my October is better than my September was :)

So much more has happened....

Elle underestimates the happenings in the real life of cee and elle so here are the cliff's notes:

-Elle is contemplating moving back to the SHY and/or the possibility of a brief sabbatical in swampy FL

-The aforementioned moving may be put on the back burner if Elle scores a new territory and sells her lil wine-ass off....consequently making more money and receiving more perks (ie: more wine refridgerators or VIP tickets)

-Cee's Dr BF has wrapped up 50% of his schooling and we are on to bigger and badder things....like diagnosing HUMONGOUS genital warts, eczema under the finger nails, and telling obese ppl that they need to lose weight.....seriously.

-Cee continues to inspire young teens and persuade them to stop having UN-safe sex, get out of abusive relationships, cut down on their profanity, and learn how to use a dictionary among other things

-Elle is rocking the hell outta some bangs

I'm am sure I am missing some things but WE will def. be updating this more often....my goal is @ least twice a week.

RIP Paul Newman...you handsome SOB

Summertime...and the livin's easy

Yeah, well I guess it's obvious that we took an extended summer break from our blogging, but we're back and ready to share our lives with you again!
SO... UPDATE:
Cee: Still in FL, luckily not too effected by the hurricanes. Dr. BF is working later these days, so her late night hobbies include, more kickball, calling Elle in the evening instead of just the afternoons, and designing bad-ass jewelry and Blair headbands.
Elle: Still in AZ, still selling wine. Still drinking wine. Still hot as hell because apparently Phoenix didn't get the memo that it's suppose to AUTUMN!!! and so it's still like 95 degrees every day. Recent hobbies: considering taking and somewhat studying for the LSATS (maybe), wearing Cee's Blair headbands (lovely), sporting bangs, watching Chelsea Lately.

In the meantime, since I last posted, Cee and I have done Miami and Chicago, I did Vegas, and for the most part, we've been working too much so you haven't missed TOO much, but I'll extend my update later. Welcome back!

Slightly Belated Wishes

Yesterday Cee turned STILL 4 years older than me :)
It's good to be the baby sister.
Her gift will be arriving in FL just slightly more belated than this blog wish.
But I did actually speak to her on the right day, I swear.
Love you, Cee!

I wonder....

but I know it is too early to call Elle to find out.
Does Elle's roomie (who is actually at Fashion week as I type this...lucky bitch) get any kind of a discount for friends/family at Anthropologie?
I am deeply, madly in love with a top but fear buyer's regret if I bought it at the regular retail price!

Get back to me
Please and Thank you.

PS its our cousin's bday so dont forget to send b-day wishes, Elle!

Damn funny

The tell-tale signs that you're talking to someone from Chicago. Absolutely hilarious and sooooo true...

1. Grachki (grach'-key): Chicagoese for "garage key" as in, "Yo, Theresa, waja do wit da grachki?" And "Howmy supposta cut da grass if I can't git intada grach?"

2. Sammich: Chicagoese for sandwich. When made with sausage, it's a Sassage Sammich; when made with shredded beef, it's an Italian Beef Sammich, a local delicasy consisting of piles of spicy meat in a perilously soggy bun.

3. Da: This article is a key part of Chicago speech, as in Da Bears, or Da Mare---the latter denoting Richard M. Daley, or Richie, as he's often called.

4. Jewels: Not family heirlooms or a tender body region, but a popular name for one of the region's dominant grocery store chains. I'm goin' to Jewels to pick up some sassage.

5. Field's: Marshall Field, a prominent Chicago department store. Also Carson Pirie Scott, another major department store chain, is simply called Carson's.

6. Tree: The number between two and four. We were lucky dat we only got tree inches of snow da udder night.

7. Over by dere: Translates to Over by there, a way of emphasizing a site presumed familiar to the listener. As in, I got da sassage at Jewels down on Kedzie, over by dere.

8. KaminskiPark: The mispronounced name of the ballpark where the Chicago White Sox (da Sox) play baseball. Comiskey Park was recently renamed U.S. Cellular Field (da Cell).

9. Frunchroom: As in, Gotada frunchroom wit dose muddy shoes. It's not the "parlor". It's not the "living room". In the land of the bungalow, it's the "frunchroom," a named derived, linguists believe, from the "front room".

10. Use: Not the verb, but the pluralnoun 'you!' Where use goin'??

11. Downtown: Anywhere near Da Lake, south of Da Zoo (Lincoln Park Zoo) and north of Soldier Field.

12. The Lake: Lake Michigan. (What other lake is there?) It's often used by local weathermen, Cooler by Da Lake.

13. BoysTown: A section on Halsted between Belmont and Addison which is lined with gay bars on both sides of the street. Didn't I see use in Boys Town in front of da Manhole?

14. Braht: Short for Bratwurst. Gimme a braht wit kraut.

15. Goes: Past or present tense of the verb "say". For example, Then he goes, 'I like dis place!'

16. Guys: Used when addressing two or more people, regardless of each individual's gender.
Hey use guys, get over here.

17. Pop: A soft drink. Don't say "soda" in this town. Do you wanna canna pop?

18. Sliders: Nickname for hamburgers from White Castle, a popular midwestern burger chain. Dose sliders I had last night gave me da shits.

19. The Taste: Da Taste of Chicago Festival, a huge extravaganze in Grant Park featuring samples of Chicagoland cuisine which takes place each year around the 4th of July.

20. Jieetyet: Translates to, Did you eat yet?

21. Winter and Construction: Punch line to the joke, What are the two seasons in Chicago?

22. Cuppa Too-Tree: is Chicagoese for "A Couple, two, three", which really means "a few". For example. Hey Mikey, dere any of dem beerz left in da cooler over by dere? Yeh, a cuppa too-tree.

23 588-2300: Every one in Chicago knows this commercial jingle and the carpet company you'll get if you call that number -- Empire! (Famous for their salesmen using 30 inch yard sticks to measure your home for carpeting).

24. Junk Djor: You will usually find the 'junk drawer' in the kitchen filled to the brim with miscellaneous, but very important, junk.

25. Expressways: The Interstates in the immediate Chicagoland area are usually known just by their 'name' and not their Interstate number: Da Dan Ryan, da Stevenson, da Kennedy, da Eisenhower (da "Ike"), and Da Edens.

26. Gym Shoes: The rest of the country may refer to them as sneakers or running shoes, but Chicagoans will always call them gym shoes

HA! Cee, you are too funny

Anyway, I ditched the setup to go see Snoop last night. And I'm pretty sure he has a criminal record, yes. But the concert was awesome, I got to watch my boss drop it like it was hot, and I FINALLY got a chance to wear my boots.
The setup was postponed until tonight... I'll let you know how it goes. Maybe Cee and her bf can get into a heated discussion about it then!
Sorry, you knew I had to.
<3 Elle

Why...

my sister put the v-day wishes on in mid-January truly stumps me.
I wont try to understand the girl.
anyway...my real question lies in Elle's last night festivities.
How did the set up go? Was he fun? was he cute?
did you hit it off?
Does he have a criminal background?
Forgive me Elle for that...it would almost be wrong if I didnt.

AND for the record!

Although Elle may call my "laid back, happy go-lucky"style "agreeable." I am vehemently denying this. Agreeable is not such a nice thing to be called. I mean come'on, I voice my opinions, I stand up for what I believe in, I dont contradict myself (most of the time)....but I also dont try to change other ppl's opinions/what they believe in. I dont think thats my job, I appreciate a great debate or conversation. Hell, I appreciate a good devil's advocate...this is why my man-mate and I are so great together. I like to voice my opinion, and he likes to take the opposite stance just to have a heated arguments. I dont take things to heart and I thank him for that.
BUT IN NO WAY, am I agreeable. I may even "agree to disagree" and I love hearing other ppl's reasoning on certain topics.
I'm not overly hard on ppl or pick fights. I try to forgive AND forget. I realize humans make mistakes, even friends make mistakes HECK even mom's make mistakes. Am i gonna get in a big fight over it? nope. I voice my opinion, let ppl know when they hurt my feelings and move on.
Stressing isnt worth it ppl and for the record, I am not agreeable!

This Florida thing is really starting to grow on me. After 25 plus years living in the windy windy city, it has taken me some serious adjustment time to truly enjoy my new digs.
Just over a year in this new city and I feel back to my old self.
I found out that I can still keep in touch and feel close to all my ol' city/college friends while making/hanging out with new ones here...like ppl I actually like not ppl that I am just settling to hang out with for the sake of going out.
and i will tell ya...this weather has done wonders for my mood swings. I am damn cheery way more often. Although once in awhile i miss the brisk cool air, changing colors of the leaves, and light snow falls....I do NOT miss bundling up on a daily basis.
that is all

Cee is back and better than ever

I am off my few week hiatus to bless you with my kind and wise wise words.
Christmas time was awesome minus the 21 hour drive both ways, the doggie vomit, the newly holy roller'd bible lessons, getting snowed in on a friday night, 30 mph winds, and incurable dry skin. I know that sounds like a lot but it really didnt suck, I just like moaning and complaining, its bad, i know
so i rec'd some great presents but at what price??? my favorite pearl earrings are missing and i am convinced that someone broke into my condo and stole them while I went North for xmas. The bf is quick to point out that if this had any validity...surely, other things would be missing and they arent. boo. i misplace stuff and need to pray to st jude
more later
its fryyyyyyyy-daeeeeee
my girl likes to party all the time, party all the time, parrrrttty allllll the time
CEE
PS yes, elle...that was my copy of Chelsey's book. Please send my " eff u bitch, u ruined my book" and " oh thank u so much for replacing a book u ruined and wrapping it up as a psuedo gift"
haha I'm evil tonight

Honest to Blog!?

Go see Juno... really.

Oh, and Happy New Year. Chanel makeup turned out fab. More late.
